Papillion
And now to the real news!I have finally decided to update this blog! Yayyy. And I have photos too! From my most recent shoot, Papillion with again, Isabella Tan and the ever-beautiful Louise Hyde.
This was my first time shooting with another person! And I was so glad that it was with such an amazing partner. I felt as though she was with me 100% and I absolutely loved what we came up with.
But anyway, less talking, more photos! I'll let THEM do the talking
Yeapp, and these are just the few that I really enjoyed. You can see the whole album here.
There isn't much I want to say about this shoot except that it was my last shoot in Malaysia, and probably the last one I will be doing in a while. I really miss both girls that was involved in this, as well as my very amazing boyfriend that tagged along. (Even though he wasn't much help =P )
I had a fantastic time, it was the most fun I had in a long while. And hey, don't be too surprised if you see Louise appearing here and there for various fashion magazines. That girl has the potential to go places.
Hehe
See y'all next time.
Bye bye lovelies.

X Top Model
Hello all! I am back! After a tremendously long break.I am currently in Berkeley, California, studying-ish. Trying to get along with life and all that. Busy busy busy.
But anyway, I was thinking I should just do a mini-post about a competition I attempted to join a couple of months ago when I was still in Malaysia.
I already knew from the very beginning I didn't really have a chance with this competition, mainly because 1) I am 168cm and the competition is only 170cm and above *sucks* and 2) it would mean missing out the first month of my semester, PLUS all this other requirement that would mean I would have to take a gap year, which I would not do... But either way, it was a very interesting experience to say the least.
So naturally, I didn't go alone. In fact, I had the beautiful Louise Hyde, yes yes, the very very gorgeous one, come along with me! Or rather, I went with her.
She is super duper sexy, as you can see. The epitome of model to be honest. And people were clammering over her left right and center. It was equally hilarious and depressing to watch, but she is a great person, beautiful on the inside and the out, so I couldn't really blame them.
So stuff went on, etc, etc. I was not the most... Pleased with the organization of the event, nor the way things went. So I won't say much, but here are some images!
In the end, it was a great and fun experience. I had horrible skin that day, unfortunately, but all in all, still a semi-success. I guess.
Or maybe not. It's a real mood damper that one.
Sigh.
Anyway, loving everyone!
xx

Waking from Hibernation
Woah, it has been a while since I posted haven't I?Well exams are almost over and I have a busy schedule ahead of me. Photoshoots, preparing for the States, working out, Graduation Ball. I'm very excited to get going once again after a long, long, stressful session of doing absolutely nothing.
*with a slight case of the exams of course.
I have another 2 shoots already planned, and 3 that could possibly happen. Very exciting stuff, I'm trying to watch as much ANTM as I can to learn. Here's to hoping I can improve enough.
I'll update as soon as I can about upcoming photos.
Stay happy!

Jessica Mathers - Elite Modelling Management
jessica.elitemmBe wary everyone of this particular person. She is not who she says she is but rather, a scam to get you naked or in your undergarments and to photograph/screen shot it for whatever evil reasons she does it for.
DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT do whatever she/he/they tells you to. IT IS A SCAM.
Much love,
Fyx

Operation Baby Tiger
Very exciting stuff, just signed up for ModelMayhem and the X Top Model Search. Oohlala, I'm yearning for some real action. In other, photoshoot news, it is time I introduce you to my partner in crime.
Shawn Loh.
Mmm. Incredibly handsome isn't he? Yeah, I thought so too.
We did this shoot together. The first time I collaborated with someone and it was actually kind of fun. I enjoyed myself, despite how the area reeked of bad things. Again, done by Alex Leong, photographer extraordinaire that I mentioned in the previous post.
Here are some of the photos we took together.
It was a whole new experience, working with someone is hard. Especially since Shawn and I have such great chemistry and well, we had to stop ourselves from laughing the entire time. Still, I think we didn't too too bad for first-timers. And the fun pretty much made up for everything.
The second coloured one was done using a film camera by the way.
We did do a couple of cheeky shots, such as the one below, but I didn't deem them... Appropriate for internet use. It does make for a good personal background though. ;]
Despite how raunchy it looks, and I'm not one for public displays of raunchiness, I am in love with this photo. The light, the composition, my very handsome partner. It makes me very happy.
Once again, much love and thanks to our dear friend, Alex.
And who knows? Maybe you'll hear more from him? ;]
Also, just to update the little viewers that I have. I'm doing another shoot with Bella tomorrow. Melissa (Greed from the Seven Sins shoot) and I are going to try our luck with the Asia's Next Top Model competition and will be creating our casting videos! So excite.
Until next time,
Fyx

Lost City Child
So perhaps it is time I introduce you to another talented photographer. All the photos posted before this were taken by one of my best friends, Isabella Tan. But if you noticed in my 'affiliations' there is another person there called Alex Leong. And below are some samples of his work.
Alex's works are different, and rather interesting. He has this unique flair about his pictures that I don't really find in a lot of photographers. The image, isn't just about the model in the photo, but the entire photo as a whole, as an art piece. It's rather humbling and beautiful really, because when I modeled for him I realized he wasn't really paying attention to me, or what I was doing or wearing, but rather, how I flowed with the things going on around me. It was a new experience, and I enjoyed it massively.
Not all the photos are up yet, I think. But here are a few.
The above are done using a digital camera. Why I would point this out? Because Alex also takes photos with film! How amazing is that? I never knew people still used such "archaic" technology (Note the sarcasm). He actually has a very interesting reason as to why. Something about how many new-age photographers take editing for granted and waste a millions shots to get one good one. But anyway, I was really happy with these three. Lovely photos, great composition. It isn't even about me! Look at the final photo, how gritty and dirty and real everything looked. It astounds me how he managed to catch this.
In any case, these photos aren't ones that I would put on my portfolio, seeing as they aren't really highlighting my skills, but his. Either way, I was very blessed and honored to be in this shoot with him.
This photo was done using film. And I cannot get over how gorgeous it looks. Sigh. Sometimes, I wish I could be the person behind the camera and not in front of it. I'm insignificant in this photo. It could just be another random girl standing there.
A real testament to Alex's skill in my humble opinion.
For more of his photos, check out the link in my 'affiliates' tab.
Thank you Alex Leong for this wondrous experience.
Love,
Fyx

Day 86: Melting
Another photo from Isabella Tan's 100 Day Project.I don't think people knew this was me, for I wasn't tagged on FB, but it's a sickening photo, and I love it. In black and white the ink running down my back looks like blood. The shadow underneath me threatens to swallow me up, I cannot explain the genius behind this one.
I cannot find enough words to compliment this girl.
Love,
Fyx
